Payment, mailing and returns

Your payment is processed either via PayPal or SumUp - the latter for cards - which I find to be very efficient and secure. This also means that you can choose to pay with your PayPal account or bank/credit card.

Payment can only be accepted from UK-based customers.

 

Mailing

I have tried to make the delivery process as straightforward and cost-effective as possible, and regularly shop around to get the best rates.

Basically, so far as delivery is concerned, the products in my shop fall into two categories:

​

Category 1:

The weighed products (Alpha-Conditioning Feed, Bokashi Bran, Gastric Grit, Gut Conditioning Pellets, Sooper Healthy Seeds) these products are sent within the UK at the following rates:

​

• 1kg-2kg by Second Class Royal Mail: £3:30

• 2kg-5kg by courier: £6.10

• 5kg-9kg by courier: £7.00

• 9kg-11kg by courier: £8.90

• 11kg-20kg by courier: £10.00

• 20kg-25kg by courier (2 boxes) £16.00

• 25kg-40kg by courier (2 boxes) £20.00

 

40kg is the maximum weight for any one order

Category 2:

The individual products (Faecal Worm Testing Kits, feed syringes, Bumpa Bits)

These products are sent within the UK at a nominal cost of £1.30 for up to two packs (see the drop-down menu at checkout) when ordered on their own, but can be included postage free in the package if ordered at the same time as Category 1 products.

​

Harrison’s Recovery Formula and Fauna Flora sachets are £2.20 for up to 2 sachets, as are Harkamectin Spot-on and the Nettex Poultry Power Drops when ordered on their own, but can be included postage-free in the package if ordered at the same time as Category 1 products weighing over 2kg (see the drop-down menu at checkout).

Please note the following:

I’m sorry, but I don't ship to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Isles of Scilly... the price is just prohibitive! The Scottish Highlands and Islands and some AB/IV postcodes are proving a little tricky at the moment for packages over 2kgs, so please use the contact form to send me your postcode and I can confirm a rate. This latter is down to a fuel surcharge being levied by the courier firms.

Free shipping:

• If you are attending one of my courses, and would like to save on your postage by collecting your goodies there, then please select the courses option in the shipping drop-down menu, and use the Course Collection button to let me know which course date you are on.

• Alternatively, you can arrange to collect your order from my storage unit in Banbury (OX16, junction 11 M40) use the drop-down menu to select that option, and I will be in touch to let you know when it is ready for you. Note that the office there can give you access during office hours, 7 days a week.

Returns and damaged deliveries

If you are not delighted with your product, or it has arrived damaged, then please use the contact form on the website to let me know.

 

I can accept returns only if they are returned to me within 14 days, and in the condition in which I sent them out, so unopened and unused. In common with other retailers, you are responsible for organising the return and the return costs. This policy is in line with the consumer protection rules as stated by the EU and dictated by the Department of Trade. You can find further information on the DTI website at www.dti.gov.uk

 

Terms and conditions

None of these T&Cs affect your normal statutory rights.

 

General stuff: claretaylor.com accepts no responsibility (as set out by law) for the validity of any information on this site. There are no claims made that any recommendations or products will cure or treat any avian medical conditions. If your bird needs medical attention, then I would always recommend that you take it to a chicken-savvy vet.

 

Your order: all orders will be dispatched within 5 working days, and if there is any delay, then I will be in touch with you soonest. Once it has left my storage unit, your order should be with you within 4 working days…… my couriers haven’t let me down yet, but you never know!  If you don’t receive your order, then please use the contact form within 14 days of dispatch to let me know.

 

Samples: some of the lovely companies who I work with have kindly given me samples to put in the course packs – if I have any spares, then you might receive one in your delivery! I can’t guarantee availability of samples, but can usually include a small trial bag of the Alpha Conditioning Feed or the Sooper-Healthy Seeds.
